Outreach x Gayuma ni Maria x Cat Cafe Manila

Yesterday, me and my batchmates/friends had an outreach activity. We distributed noche buena packs and packed foods to vendors, street people and the homeless along EDSA Cubao, Aurora and streets nearby. It’s a collaborative effort which all of us agreed to contribute parts of our salary to come up with 100 packed meals and 30 noche buena packs.

It was definitely tiring for us that night so we decided to have our dinner together at Gayuman ni Maria. I had so much fun reading all the menu of Gayuma ni Maria. To whoever come up with it, he/she is so clever!

The presentation of the food doesn’t look so appetizing. For me, there’s nothing special with the taste as well. I tried Hotsie because I love seafood, and oh, it is not spicy or anything. Blah. Nilasing ni Eba si Adan is the restaurant’s version of pork belly.

We are still craving for more so we had a little walk and tried to find some desserts, a cafe, or a pizza parlor until we saw Cat Cafe Manila. I have been hearing a lot about this cafe but never had the chance yet to visit. Cat Cafe is located at the 2nd floor of 189 Maginhawa Street. You need to pay 200 pesos for admission fee. 100 of which will go for the cat’s foods and 100 is consumable for your cookies, sodas, coffees and teas.

Yep. The day [yesterday] was memorable.

Thank you to my friends. The outreach was successful! Thank you for letting me be part of it. 🙂 ❤

God bless the works of your hands! I will also ask my friends to do an outreach program this year. I always wanted to visit Gayuma ni Maria but I never had the chance, even when I was still in UP Diliman.

Maginhawa Street is like haven for foodies. I’ve only been to The Nook since I’m a Potterhead but I swear I’ll visit the other establishments like Gayuma ni Maria soon.

    Happy 2016!
