Riding a Fast Car: The Peugeot 208 GT

Time check – 5:30 AM. Woke up from a nap just to know I am still here at Cubao. It’s almost an hour ride already since I hailed this bus at Fairview. At this early times of the day,  traffic is already communal. Not to add these “hakot” buses. Commuters like me spend almost 3 to 4 hours of our lives playing in the battlefield like arena where buses and jeepneys prevail. Well, have you tested you’re ninja moves too inside MRT and LRT trains?

Suddenly, Spotify played Jonas Blue and Dakota’s version of Fast Car

♪ ♫ You got  a fast car.

I want a ticket to anywhere.

Maybe we make a deal.

Maybe together we can get somewhere. ♪ ♫

Okay. Can I just get inside a car now? Drive myself to Mckinley or anywhere I want? <sigh>

I know, a lot of you guys wanted to get their own cars too. You wont have wake up too early just to not catch that heavy traffic at EDSA and not look haggard when it’s just the start of the day. If you are so eager to get your own precious one and before you decide which to get, have you already heard about PEUGEOT?

-/poo – zjoh/ –

And that ladies and gentlemen is how you pronounce it. It’s not pigot, pijot nor how i pronounced it before – pugot.

Peugeot is a French automotive car brand which is considered one of the top of the line. Peugeot offers high-end exclusivity with practicality and competitive pricing. Peugeot lives to provide best fuel savings and environment-friendly technologies. They are the world’s largest producer of diesel engines.

And then, when life seems to be trying so hard to convince me to buy a car, I had the chance to ride a rally car – the Peugeot 208 GT. Peugeot 208 GT is a beautiful black and sleek car, super swift and aesthetically designed with chromes and leather finish. Obviously, a to-have European car.

During the test drive, we were told that the fuel consumption of the car is one of its highlights. Well, maybe because of its design and aerodynamics. With the interior, most you can see is leather. From the dashboard, steering wheel,  seats etc. The crazy thing with the leather is, it looks like hand made because of the red stitches. Crazy! More to that, since this is a GTI car, driver and passenger seats were designed to make it feel you are really in a rally car.

I’m surprised to see the prices of Peugeot. I always imagine them to be priced really high considering that this is a european brand but it’s not. Besides the price, their cars look really good as well. I might drop by their stores if I had the chance 🙂

Oh even if you have a car you still have to wake up early because traffic in edsa is really bad but good side of having one is whatever traffic you encounter, you can still look fresh upon alighting it.
Peugeot have a good looking line up of cars, but how is their gas consumption?

I don’t know anyone who drives a Peugeot so it was good to read about it from you. I’m changing my car soon & this seems like a nice option as well. The diesel-powered feature makes it more attractive. We all know how awful traffic has become in Metro Manila & having a diesel-powered vehicle for one’s daily commute seems to be very practical.

Thank you for enlightening me about its pronunciation. I seldom see this brand on streets especially EDSA and having one might be pretty special. It’s not very pricey though like other luxury cars, will add this to my dream car list 🙂

It looks like a great car. I like cars that would suit women too, since i am a woman. This is small enough for me because I don’t like huge cars. The color is standard, but it’s good to show the features of the car. Don’t we all dream of a new car now and then?
